This week is all about being a goddamn woman. All of the albums and songs on the playlist are by women or women-led bands from all over the world. It was unintentional at first, the playlist just had a lot of tracks by women, but I figured, what the hell, let’s keep it going. We begin and end with two women who have been treating us with the salve of their music for decades — Linda Ronstadt and Nancy Sinatra. The latter inspired this entire project. The music ebbs and flows, with sounds rooted in dreaminess and desire. There’s a brightness with the albums, a deep hope that manifests in profoundly different ways for each artist. It’s experimental. It’s traditional. It’s protest. It’s dancing. It’s everything we could ever want it to be. Enjoy.

Pair with:
Garlic-Ginger Chicken With Cilantro and Mint. Easy and impressive. All you need to do is marinade the chicken and, voila, you have a restaurant-worthy piece of chicken breast. To make it extra fancy, blend some squash with salt and yogurt into a creamy sauce.
Roman Iced Coffee. Citrus! Espresso! Sparkling Water! This makes coffee into a wonderful, summer drink.
A lace tablecloth. I had a little dinner party al fresco yesterday and threw a lace tablecloth on my outside table. It turned my backyard into the perfect little space. Highly recommend. (ignore my naked garden beds!)
Vintage/retro/90s (what do any of these mean anymore?) matching sets, like this or this or this or this or this.
This tulip pillow. Tulips are the thing right now, so of course Dusen Dusen made a little pillow.
Enjoy.
Also these two recipes are magical I can’t wait to try!!
Love that table cloth!!! Some native plants would be so cuteeeee in that space 🦋
