The theme this week is warm sounds. I’m in California this week and dreaming of soft, warm weather. Each album (mostly women!) weaves in feelings of summer and good times. Three are new, but bring in the warmth of an old soul (like listening to a new album on vinyl, you get that nice crackle pop). The other two are older, but still feel fresh, like they could’ve been released last week. Especially Party Girl, since the nineties is so heavy in our zeitgeist right now. Pay special attention to DREAMER by Nabihah Iqbal. It’s incredible.
Enjoy.

Pair with:
Pork and Cabbage Not-Quite-Dumpling Soup. It’s still soup season, but just barely!! Get in your soup while you still can.
Voria Sparkling Orange. This Sicilian sparkling wine is a transitional wine. If it’s a little cold, it’s good. If it’s a little warm, it’s good. Which means? You can drink it any time.
Watching Party Girl. If you haven’t seen Party Girl yet, watch it. It’s such a great movie that is so 90s. He he hello!!
The Poet perfume. I love the idea of blending a profession and a scent. It weirdly makes sense? I’m very curious about this perfume brand, too. This seems like a good place to start.
