Dinner Music: After dinner vibes

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to dance. The different types of dancing. The kind of music you need to dance at night. What do you need to let go, even a little? Where is this perfect line between too much and not enough? My goal is to find songs that feel like that moment when you’re drinking a cocktail and you just feel damn good. You’re a being. It’s the weekend. You’re on vacation. You’ve fallen in love. It’s eighty degrees outside. You’ve quit your job. A girl in the bathroom told you that you are beautiful. To me, this sounds like Jean Paul Gaultier by Fatal Jamz or Pino by Lazywax or Da Girls by Ciara or LA Night by Yasuko Agawa. All of these songs are dancing songs. What does it mean to dance? It means to feel good. It’s ending the week on a good note, even if the week sucked. We keep moving and we make it feel good.

Practically, this is a great playlist for having friends over for wine. It’s music to let float into the night. It’s for telling funny stories and laughing and drinking spritzers. Maybe you’re getting ready to go out. Maybe this is out. Either way, it’s good vibes for any times.

As promised, this playlist is for paid subscribers. What do you get? This playlist and my eternal love. Plus, musings and a few recipes that I’ve liked recently.
