This week the albums and the playlist were chosen by Texas-born, LA-based singer and songwriter Jess Williamson. Her album Time Ain’t Accidental has been featured in this newsletter a few times (#131, best of 2023) and, it’s important to know, I consider it one of the best albums of the last decade. Not only is the lyricism and storytelling exquisite, the range of the music gives the album an oceanic feeling, an ebb and flow of love and life and longing. Now, Williamson is at work on her next album and has recently started a garden.
